2025

Presented annually by the Prince Edward County Arts Council, The Maker’s Hand is a prestigious fine craft show featuring both established and up-and-coming artists from across Ontario & Quebec. Since 2004, the show has attracted more than 50,000 visitors from Toronto to Ottawa and beyond. Entry is $5 for unlimited access all weekend. Free entry for children under 12 and for assistants of persons with a disability. Wheelchair accessible entrance, washrooms, and wide aisles for ease of movement. Accessible parking located in front of The Armoury building on Main Street.

NEW LOCATION!
The Maker’s Hand moves to the County Arts Lab, located in the historic Armoury Building at the heart of Picton’s vibrant Main Street! The show will feature 25 booths inside the County Arts Lab and in the adjoining Armoury Atrium. The County Arts Lab also hosts the region’s largest group exhibition, Art in the County, as well as art classes and workshops throughout the year. NEW SHOPPING HOURS!
In addition to our regular Saturday and Sunday opening hours (see below), we are excited to launch new Friday evening opening hours! Doors will be open at 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a special “Sip & Shop” event beginning at 5:00 PM - attendees will receive a complimentary glass of wine (while supplies last) and 10% off from participating exhibitors. Plan to stay the weekend to indulge in the incredible prix-fixe menus offered at participating restaurants during Countylicious and do not miss the Firelight Lantern Festival, the County’s largest community arts extravaganza! Check-out https://countyarts.ca/whats-on/location/picton/ to learn more about local events.

NEW PERKS & DISCOUNTS!
Our Art at the Heart of Picton referral program gives event attendees an opportunity to access special discounts at 6 participating Picton Main Street businesses, including Brasserie Alexandria at the Merrill House, The Royal Hotel Boutique, Kelly’s Shop, Savon du Bois, Beacon Bike & Brew, and Zest Kitchen Shop. See what is on offer by clicking here.

ALL ARE WELCOME HOUR
Taking place on Sunday November 9 from 10-11:00 AM, this designated time ensures that people with sensory, mobility, and other disability-related needs can more readily engage with the arts. The lights and music are dimmed/lowered, and exhibitors are prepared to engage with visitors of all abilities. The show will be open to the general public at this time, but it is a traditionally quieter time to visit.
